Looking For A Taxidermist To Mount A Black Bear Head.

I am looking for a taxidermist to mount my wife's bear head. I want the mouth open showing teath. I you can do this or know someone that can please let me know. Thank you.

Yes we sent Stephens off to be done by a professional, He charged 350$ but that was a closed mouth, the open mouth are a little more. But I decided to try my own hand at it and it honestly turned out pretty good for a first time. Who knows after I get a few done, I might try doing them for people.  Good luck.

When you do feel confident about doing them for others let me know I will more than likely have more. I hunt bears spot and stalk every fall over  the berry patches. I always get one atleast. The wife joins me now so I let her shoot. I enjoy her hunts more than my own. I think women in the wods is excellent who better to get the whole family involved than the mother. Kids see mom doing it and then they say thats cool I want to try to. EXCELLENT! I just love it all. I hope that you know can do it I have been looking for a while now. Thanks again

Yes my son nothing better than being in the woods, Ive never tried the spot and stalk I find it hard enough to bait one! They are so keen and they win one over on me many times throughout the hunting season.

I have them on camera 2 mins before I showed up and 10 mins after I leave! They are very smart indeed. Rabbit hunting with beagles is my next love although Im a little ashamed this year because we picked up trapping as a new hobby and have only gotten the dogs out a few times, I wont make that mistake next year!.

Where are you from? Tell your wife Im glad she in involved in hunting, its great, Most men use it as an excuse to go somewhere without their wives but myself and Stephen are best buds and without him I wouldnt be able to do a lot. You should buy her a nice pink gun now and make her a pink gunrack with rhinestones like Steve did for me! haha

I got my new rifle last yr for mothers day, a TC 7mm mag, lovely gun but be nicer if it came in pink. haha

Hi again. I am from Placentia. My wife Donna and I are also best buds. My favorite hunt of all is Rabbits with the dogs. I have 3 beagles and both myself and Donna love it. I have got pretty good at the spot and stalk Bear hunt. I am a professional hunting guide and have been for 12 years. Funny you should say about the pink gin. I baught Donna a pink remington 870 20 guage for christmas. She loves it. That 7mm TC is a very nice gun. Donna has a 270 Remington 700 SS. I will get her a nice pink stock for it when I can find one. I will keep intouch. The guy you said to do the taxidermy is going to do the head. Its cheep compared to most 400 for mouth open. Good deal I thought. I know taxidermists that charge 650 mouth open and so on. Ill try him he seams to be nice enough. Thanks again pict of my wife..

I don;t really like the open mouth bear mounts myself, I don't like to think of them as mean! Nuts I know, but just my opinion. Hey if you guys are on fb feel free to add me and my husband, we can have a chat and check out each others hunting pix.

Not sure if you have found someone yet or not but Andrew Barron Is a great Taxidermist. I have seen alot of his work and I think he's fantastic. Im sure he could do quite the job on your bear.
