depending on the quality of equipment you want and the variety of powders , bullets etc. I would guess $500-$1000
if you do your homework you can be cost efficient with the components required. I reload quite a few 223 so if i can help feel free to message me
Thanks Fred, I will after i shop around for different prices & what brand of re-loader(s) would you recommend ?
If you are going to do much reloading its best to get a very good press to start. RCBS, Redding Hornadt, a lot of people use the Lee but I am not a big fan
what would the reason be for the 223 ammo for example be over a $1+ a round & other bigger cal. ammo be cheaper? the other day i seen the price on 223 ammo over $27 for a box of 20 ridiculous! cant even enjoy a scattered day shooting a few targets anymore.. lol
Right now its being hoarded by Americans in anticipation of a ban on Assault Rifles, also the US Military are buying up the components for thier use.
In many places its getting tough to get.
many expect to see big jumps in all ammo prices. Even 22 ammo prices are taking big jumps in USA.
thats crazy! soon gonna have to go back to using a bow or sling shot lol
