I have my first set of moose antlers which is a 16 point bull with the head skull still attached.
Anybody know what is best way to varnish the antlers to make them look better then the white skull look?

What Kind of Varnish do people use?
Thanks
If you want to turn them a dark brown you will have to stain them that color. I know they turn white and that is what we did with ours and they looked fine. Kent may have the stain you are looking for. It depends on how white they are you may have to stain them twice. When you are finished with that you can varnish them. I am not realy sure if you can buy the varnish and stain in one but I woun't take that chance on doing that because you can make them darker. With stain you can rub them as light as you want or dark as you want. Hope this helps.
Thanks Kenneth Good point
