New to bear hunting.

I plan on giving bear hunting a go this year. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. I plan on hunting either burin pen or bonivista pen. I live in St johns so baiting would be hard for me to do regularly. So if anyone knows some specific areas I should focus on or if someone is willing to help me out with a hunt that would be great.

I have never hunted bear myself. If baiting is not in the cards for you, I'd look for a high hill and glass the area and try stalk and shoot. Check with locals or even wildlife and see if any areas have a high concentration of numbers and or sightings.
