Moose hunting in MMA 3

Has anyone here moose hunted in this area? We have a license for this area but neither of us have been there. Just wondering what type of terrain we can expect. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks

I've hunted area 2 which is the front part of the Great Northern Pen, area 3 is on the back side of the pen. However I have never hunted there but I have heard there was a good population of moose there. That was a few years ago. Hopefully someone who has been there will reply.

I know where area 3 is. I hunt Taylor's brook MMA4! As far as I know the only ways to enter MMA 3 by helicopter or to drive through MMA 4 VIA eagle mountain road! MMA 3 starts at the 50km bridge after area 4! It's a hard to access area but quite plentiful with moose. If anyone has better insite or if I'm incorrect feel free to correct me on this matter

Hi Steve. You can expect hills, plateaus, lots of creeks and a few i would call rivers. there is a lot of marshland up that way as well. bring your rubber boots for sure. you should have no problem bagging a moose up there. insanely dense population of moose there. also if i remember correctly it's on the eastern side of the Northern Peninsula which is hunted a little less aggressively than the west. there are bush roads in certain places and quad access. good luck

Thanks for the input guys. We plan to camp out near the Cat Arm Resivoir. I'm td there are plenty of cut overs along the Access road leading to it. It's all for the adventure anyway!
