Hey guys it’s been awhile since I posted. I really need help on this one. I have an application for a remote cottage that is basically approved. It only has two agencies left to go through and that’s happening this week.
Now or to my problem. I have my piece of land all picked out and like I said it will be finalized sometime this week. A guy that has an approved piece of land that’s over 2 kms away from mine decides to put up his permit number within 20 ft of my land. I have called crown lands office and they are the ones who confirmed this for me. He thinks he can just move his markers in on my location. What can I do about this? I have told crown lands of this situation. I don’t know if they are doing anything about it. My biggest concern is if they actually enforce the law and tell him he can’t do that, then any progress I try to make there he will hinder it. The location is a ways out of town and only accessible by bike. My first inclination when crown lands explained this to me was to go into the site and tear down his markers. We have been since March applying legally and it’s now August. What can I do with this person that thinks he can do whatever he likes?

No one has any idea? It’s very disheartening that my wife and I are doing this absolutely by the the book, and this guy thinks he can just do whatever he likes
I would use crown lands to help you in any way possible. I would di as they reccomended remove his markers.
All else fails talk to a laywer and get their take on it. If need be have them write a letter on your behalf.
Good luck.
Thank you for your reply. Crown lands has been contacted. Unfortunately they only in the office one day a week for our area which is Thursday. So I guess they will receive it then. So can I legally remove his markers? I was thinking I should do that. As he is doing something illegal. I would be correcting the action.
You can try and contact the other person. See if you can reason with them. That would be the best but in the end what th person did is wrong. See what they say.
