The value in seals is in the pelts, without strong seal pelt markets I dont think you will see high seal prices anytime soon.

China wants the meat, and they are a high-volume buyer, so that volume could make up the shortfall. Aside from which there is a lot of poverty in China, and any food trade deal they can make is a good one.
