Do you need some sort of "primitive weapon" license to hunt with a bow? I was having a discussion today with an rcmp officer, and it was his understanding that you did. I didnt know to be honest. if you do, where do you obtain this license or permit?
There is no special permit needed for a bow, but there are certain guidlines that you have to follow for big game and small game which are all in the hunters guide.
Thanks for the info boys!!! i didnt get a bow yet. we ran into a family emergency and have to get a sick uncle back from BC. However, I did have a great line on a Darton Pro 3000 loaded. I just hope its available when all this is straightened out. If not, Im going to Florida in April and ill look at getting something there. Maybe hit a pawn shop...or if the wife permits..Bass Pro Shops in Tampa.
i don't know i would sooner go with a new bow atleast you are not buy another person problem if there bow is damage in anyway.Strings could be damaged, risers and cams could also be damage along with the treads for the screws for all attactments.IF you do get a second hand bow make sure you can test fire it first. So you know its in good working order.
