ATV Tires

What type of tires do people have on their ATV's or UTV's and what types of terrain do you ride the most?

 

I'm looking at getting some new tires for my quad as well as for my wife's quad.  I'm looking at either the Maxxis Zilla mostly because of it's good traction and light weight, but am a little concerned about the aggressive lug affecting ride quality.

 

The other tire I am looking at is the Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 which is considered by many as the best all around tire around but I am not sure how it will perform in the mud/bog...

 

Any opinions would be appreciated.

I bought a set of 26-9-12 & 26-10-12 ITP Mudlite XL. I found it a decent tire on the trail and in the mud. However I found it to wear down quickly because of the center tread pattern. I have a set of  26-9-12 GBC Dirt Tamers. I have 3200 kms on them and they are perfect, very little wear. When I'm stuck so is everyone else. The Dirt Tamers  tread pattern is almost identical to the Bighorns. The parent company makes both brand of tires. Dirt Tamers cost a lot less but are a bit heavier. Good Luck.

 i have mudlites 26 10 12 and 26 12 12, just changed them at almost 4000 km's and they have been thru the war and back ..lol very avid mud runner

I have a set of ITP Mudlite XL's on mine. 25-8-12 on front and 25-12-12 on rear. I'd say I got about 4500kms on them. All kinds of thread depth left.. Never had a flat or tear..Gettin the itch for a new set of socks for the bike though, probably this summer..going with 26's this time, and may probably change the type of tire..Still, I think they are one of the best tires you can put on a atv...
