I have a mossberg 835 with a 24" barrel I took the turkey choke out of it and put a modified choke in it. I was just wondering if it would be any good for waterfowling since it only has a 24" barrel on it. I haven't used anything shorter than a 28". All comments are greatly appreciated.

It is suppose a great waterfowling gun with great shot patterns because of the over size barrel. I would try Black cloud with it because of its extended range, but there are lots of amo types to try. You can also buy a waterfowl choke for that gun. The length of the barrel don't seem to matter as much now as it once did. I'm guessing because of the advances with modern amunition.

Let me know how you make out.

Thanks guys
