Has anyone on here used javex/washer bottles for decoys? I got access to load of them and would like to try it with some real decoys and some sleds.  If someone got a pic post it up, I want an idea how to paint them up.   Would like this to up the numbers on my decoy lines

Thanks

Scott

Hi Scott,

I've now just returned back home to NL to live and had several shoots for eiders over javex bottles while hunting with an experienced sea duck buddy of mine near Halifax. He taught me most of the setup's at first and he often placed a couple of strings of Javex bottles in amongst the full eider decoys to increase the numbers. It honestly worked but he mainly put them out when the sea's were a little on the rough side. He simply tied them all together by the handles and sprayed the two sides flat black, nothing fancy but we took several limits with the jars in the water. It can't hurt to give it a try it would only cost you a can of spray paint.
