I was out last week at Waterford river and caught about a dozen 6-7 inch trout. I was there for about 3 hours with no luck until I ran into a guy and he showed me a few tricks, after that I was catching them pretty constant for an hour or so.
Anyone having any luck with the trout this winter ? Was out today for awhile had a few nibbles but no takers, dandy boil up though made it all worth the effort.
Same to you Mark, I'm going to give that spot a try tomorrow morning.
Try fishing just past the turns in the river where the break meets still water I find thats where the nice searuns usually hold up. Or if theres ice they usually hug the bank. I will probaly see you on the river sometime Good Luck!
Okay thats what I was thinking, haven't tried there yet the year, and I'm still getting used to the names of the pools on the river, and I don't know many, I just fish where it seems likely to be fish haha
the small one closer to the ocean there is a oneway street there
Which bridge is that? The one closest to Bowring Park or the small one farther down?
