Salmon spotted in the Bay St. George rivers. Water levels are low though. Rain in the forecast for Thursday and Friday. Should be good fishing for the weekend.

Only a few more days to go, salmon runs on some rivers on the Avalon are early to, hooked and lost 3 salmon this past weekend while fishing for sea trout, and the were fresh salmon not slinks.

Yes polar bear is clear..well kinda. Salmon seem to like it. but it is a little hard to use. Goat is the best bet. I find calf tail too fluffy and calf boby hair too short. Lots of stuff on ebay. Straight line sports is where i get 90 % of my stuff.

polar bear is a bit hard to come by in these parts and isnt polar bear fur clear? i could see the goat fur comeing in handy seeing how the goats have a heavy coat espicaly during winter , looking into the vice and spools and such now ebay has alot of choice for cheep so ill pick up something decent

Has anyone picked up the new type of chrystal flash? they have come out with half a dozen of so colors of UV flash. Tried it last year near the end of the season. Its killer on low light condition.Hooked three in a row. This was after the guy fishing for two hours left to go home.

The best thing i have found for making a white wing is goat fur. I also use polar bear.
