That is a real impresive list of species.
ALSO
hooden merganser
buffel head
white fronted goose

just to name a few
Few I haven,t seen. Missed snow geese.
i remember hearing my Father Talking about the King Eiders, they used to call them Bottle Nose Ducks, has anyone else heard that Name ?? i haven't see one in May Years, are there still some Around ?? if so Where have they been seen ??
Jim, We are after killing a few over the years off the northeast coast. When the season used to be open later you'd see more. They usually show up late in the season.
Thanks for that info Shane, i didn't Know that there were any left Around, that's good to hear. we always have more Birds around here after the Season Closes, that's the way of it. usually there's Lots of Ducks and Turrs from Mid March on.

Seems like when labrador is late freezing up its late when the birds come down. Have killed some eiders with bands from labrador. Guess they'll stay in the breading grounds feeding as long as they can.

You forgot

Coots

Pinkfooted Geese

Barnacle geese

Brant

And I have to disagree with one thing you listed above the greater scaup or commonly named bluebill is relatively abundent on the island perhaps one of the most abundent inland divers.

I agree Justin, but most of the literature out there states that these are migrants and non breeding. Which I find hard to swallow as well. Thus, I placed them in the migrants section based on available literature.
do brant and barnacle gease come here ? ive never herd of them comming here

Yeah Ed I agree  alot of those books aren't acurate they not only breed here they winter her at least here in southern coastal regions.

And yeah Brendon they do I have a pinkfooted goose and a barnacle goose mounted killed about 6 or 7 years ago and a guy here killed a double banded brant about 10 minutes from my home and picked him I couldn't be lieve it, when he called about the bands he was banded in Greenland.

I will take one of each please.LOL
