Welcome to the site Justin . You might want to take a look at the newly formed "Federation of Hunters & Anglers, Inc. Details on bottom left of home page here,we need members. Have fun. Albert.
Thank you for the info. I will be able to start scouting areas as soon as the snow goes! The only Soldier's pond I can find is toward witless bay? Is that the one you are talking about or is it named something different possibly?
Just wondering if you have done much goose hunting on the avalon side of things. I am from the west coast butlive in st john's now. I have been after geese/ducks mainly for the last few years but only back home. I want to get some idea of where to start out here! I don't know if you have ventured that far east or not but people have mentioned Fox Marsh as a good place. I would deff get into seaducks as well butI don't have anyone to go with!
Let me know if you have any advice! Oh yeah and what firearm do you use for birds? I have been using a Benelli Nova Pump that takes all size shells.
If you go back to my page(Joe Hearn),you'll find a comment I left for you about the goose hunting in PEI.I have been fortunate to meet a couple of local fishermen who are also avid goose hunters who I hunt with in late November. The last two years I have gotten my limit.A couple of friends went over in late October last with Wild Goose Lodge(very close to Hunters Chance in French River)and had a good hunt. There were four of them and they shot 38 birds. It seems to be hit or miss.If I can be of any assistance to you feel free to give me a call at 643-3846
